Membership Meeting

A membership meeting of the Albany Newspaper Guild, Local 31034, TNG-CWA has been called for 6 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022.  The meeting will be held via Zoom.

At the meeting members will be asked to vote on approving the anticipated severance package for three unit members whose print desk jobs are being outsourced to Hearst properties in Connecticut and Houston.  Negotiations are ongoing but expected to be wrapped up for the meeting.  Discussions are being held on the amount of severance, insurance coverage, pension credits and additional payments.

The membership will also be asked to elect two delegates to The News Guild/CWA Sector conference to be held early in 2023. The sector conference will be held online.

You must be a member in good standing (paying dues) to participate in the meeting and to vote on any measures that come before the local.

The monthly Executive Board meeting will follow on the same Zoom call.
