Sign up for free rides to free picnic
Every member of the Albany Newspaper Guild and their families are invited to this year’s free Labor Day picnic from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at 275 Grooms Road in Clifton Park. (Exit 8A off the Northway)
Can’t make it because you don’t have a ride? The Capital District Area Labor Federation will offer you a free ride.
Bus service is planned from Albany, Schenectady and Troy. The Albany bus will depart from the Labor Temple at 890 3rd St ., Albany.
Departures from Schenectady and Troy are still being worked out. Departures are planned for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Return trips from Clifton Park are planned for 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a rock wall, video truck, horseshoes, volleyball and other games and music.

Join us for a free family Labor Day Celebration
The New York state AFL-CIO has invited the all of the members of the Albany News Guild and their families to its annual Michael Burns Labor Day Celebration picnic.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, raw and steam clams along with a lot of other food and drinks will be served from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at the American Legion, 275 Grooms Road, Clifton Park.
A rock wall, video truck, inflatable games and a bounce house will be available for the kids.
The FREE picnic honors hard work, dedication and contributions of workers everywhere.
