The Newspaper Guild of Albany has an immediate opening for an office manager. (There is a preferred internal candidate for this position.)
Basic duties: Managing the operation of the Guild office and facilitating communications with its members.
Requirements: Applicants must possess strong organization and people skills. He/she will work in the union office preparing payroll taxes, sending dues payments to the CWA, filing information, answering calls and emails, making copies of documents, preparing member bulletins and otherwise managing the Guild office. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary and knowledge of QuickBooks and Photoshop Elements is desirable.
Hours: Hours can be flexible with an average of approximately 16 hours per week.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and the Guild Contract, Classification I.
